COLERAIN TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) -

A teacher at Colerain High School has been indicted for having sexual contact with students.

A Hamilton County grand jury indicted Julie Hautzenroeder, 36, on two counts of sexual battery on Friday.

According to the indictment Hautzenroeder had sexual contact with two different students between April 26 and May 15 of this year.

According to a police report obtained by FOX19 last month from the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office, Northwest Schools asked police on May 15 to investigate an allegation that Hautzenroeder had a sexual relationship with a 16-year-old student.

School district officials told FOX19 that she was placed on administrative leave on May 17 and that administrators had been cooperating with police.

The Northwest Local School District released the following statement on Friday:

On Friday, May 17, 2013, Julie Hautzenroeder was placed on administrative leave pending an investigation into criminal activity. The matter was turned over to the local law enforcement authorities for investigation.

In light of the recent indictment, the Board of Education and administration will begin the next steps in the due process procedures. There will be no further comment at this time.

A court date has not yet been set.
