Man steals jewelry from several homes; pawns it the same day

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - A Louisville man is caught fleeing an area he had recently robbed.

26-year-old Kevin Sears robbed several homes on Tuesday, July 23. Sears began by prying open the bathroom window of a home and stealing items. Some of those items would be discovered when he was captured.

 He then forced the window of another home open and took jewelry which he sold at a Cash America on New Cut Road.

 Sears robbed a home on Laughlin Avenue, also stole jewelry, pawning it at the same Cash America. He also broke into another home on Laughlin Avenue and ransacked some rooms, but didn't take anything.

Officer's caught up with Sears as he was fleeing the area. He was arrested on Dixie Highway and admitted to the above crimes.
