Date Street fire ruled arson

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - Investigators say a house fire that injured a Louisville firefighter was intentionally set.

Around 11 p.m. July 25, fire crews were called to the home in the 2200 block of Date Street in the California neighborhood.

Arson investigators say someone started the fire on the back porch.

It took 35 firefighters to put it out. One firefighter had a minor injury, but was treated at the scene and went back to fight the fire.

It was the second fire of the night firefighters worked in that area.
