"At the point the previous ones (from the weekend) don't seem to be connected at all. We're still early in our investigation," said LMPD spokeswoman Alicia Smiley. "It's a little too soon to rule anything out that this might pertain to."
"It can be very taxing on them," Smiley said in regard to the increased workload for homicide detectives. "They're going to work each of them as diligently as they possibly can."
Police have no leads in the latest case, Smiley said, and detectives are interviewing neighbors.
