Balsamic Flank Steak and Red Onion


½ cup of Balsamic Vinegar
3 tbsp olive oil
3 cloves garlic, minced
salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
2 medium sized red onions, cut into ½ inch wedges
1 flank steak, about 2lbs
1 cup red wine, your choice


First: In a saucepan mix together all liquid ingredients over medium heat. Reduce to ½ and reserve.

Two: Salt and pepper the flank steak; dice garlic and rub down.  Pan sear over high heat in an iron skillet. Cover with red onions and bake at 350° oven for approximately 45 minutes.

Three: Slice the meat thinly on the diagonal and arrange in a fan shape on each serving plate with onions along side. Garnish with balsamic wine reduction.
