NEW ALBANY, IN (WAVE) - A Kentucky man has entered a guilty plea to causing a deadly crash in Floyd County.

The crash happened back in November 2011 on State Road 111. The wreck claimed the life of Kevin Hammersmith, 52, the director of government and community relations for Duke Energy in southern Indiana.

Floyd County Police say Wesley Bradshaw, 32, of Danville, KY, crossed the center line and hit Hammersmith's vehicle head-on.

Last week, Bradshaw pleaded guilty to driving under the influence of a controlled substance causing death. He will receive a 15 year sentence with credit for time served.
