LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - A Louisville man was arrested Thursday afternoon after driving recklessly and going through a median, according to Louisville Metro Police.
An officer said he observed Devin Arnold, 20, driving at a high rate of speed on Taylorsville Road, nearly causing an accident. According to an arrest report, Arnold told police he wanted to get to a pawn shop before it closed.
But his troubles didn't stop there.
After giving the officer verbal consent to search his silver 2003 Pontiac, police said the arresting officer found a used needle and syringe and another syringe full of a liquid substance on the passenger-side floorboard. The officer also reportedly found baggies used to carry narcotics all over the floor of the car. The arrest report says the driver admitted to using heroin.
Arnold is charged with reckless driving, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
