OLDHAM COUNTY, KY (WAVE) - Parents weighed in at the first of three public forums about redistricting Oldham County public schools following the closure of Liberty Elementary School. The closure brings the number of schools in the county down to nine.
Monday night's meeting went until 8:30 at North Oldham High School.
The next meeting will be held Wednesday from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at South Oldham High and the third forum will be held on August 22 at 6:30 p.m. in the auditorium at Oldham County High.
The final proposals go to the board of education in September. The final vote on the new school boundaries is set for November. Assignments will be unveiled in January.
