LOUISVILLE KY (WAVE) – The Kentucky Center for the Performing Arts will host a special screening of "The Potter's Field" Thursday, August 27 at 7:30 p.m.in the Bomhard Theater. Louisville native, Edward Heavrin filmed and directed the documentary.
"The Potter's Field" documents local Catholic high school students who volunteer their time giving funeral services for the communities' unknown, homeless and indigent. Heavrin compares the realities of how other cities dispose of their less fortunate. Heavrin, along with the students followed in the film, believe that the less fortunate deserve the dignity and respect of a proper funeral and burial.
A Q & A session with the filmmaker will follow the 45 minute screening of the documentary.
