NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

A student at H.G. Hill Middle School is in custody after posting a bomb threat, according to police.

The student threatened to blow up the school on Friday. A school worker found out about the threat and contacted the police.

Officers went to the boy's home overnight.

Police said the student said he was extremely depressed and didn't want to go to school. He said he thought by making the threat classes would be canceled.

As a precaution, police came to the school and searched the student's locker and checked out all the classrooms, but did not find anything.

Police said the student is in custody and is facing unknown charges at this time.
