LEXINGTON, IN (WAVE) – A manhunt is on after someone fired shots at a police officer and then fled into a densely wooded area near Lexington, Indiana in Scott County.
On Sunday night, the officer was running a license plate of a car, one he believed could be stolen, when the driver fired four to five shots and took off into the woods.
The officer was not hit or injured in any way from the shots fired at him, according to police.
The Scott County Sheriff's Office gave chase and searched for the man throughout Sunday night.
