LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - A fight that's believed to have started because the victim owed the suspect money resulted in a stabbing Saturday afternoon in the 4700 block of Palma Road, near the southwest campus of Jefferson Community and Technical College.
Aaron Rademaker, 31, is charged with first-degree assault in the case.
According to an arrest report, Rademaker told police he had a knife in his left hand because he did not know what the victim would do.
Police say the victim was unarmed.
A woman who witnessed the fight told officers that Rademaker kept punching the victim, who was cut in the abdomen and rushed to University Hospital for surgery, as the victim was unable to fight back.
