LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - An argument between two men over a woman and her child led to one of them pulling out a gun, police said.

Joseph Waggoner, 26, of Jeffersontown, faces a couple of charges after he allegedly pointed a small, black handgun at Elliott Escalante and threatened his life.

Waggoner and Ashley Toborowski have a child together, according to an arrest warrant, and Toborowski told police he threatened to break in her door and take the child.

Escalante told police that Waggoner cocked the slide back on a gun to load the chamber, and then pointed the gun at him, saying, "When I come out of the bushes, you'll know it's me."

Waggoner faces a felony charge of wanton endangerment and third-degree terroristic threatening.
