LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - After hitting a concrete wall in hospital curve, police said a man took off on foot with his one-year-old daughter.
When he was found, according to an arrest report, he failed a field sobriety test.
Carlos Ortiz, 22, of Jeffersonville, Indiana, is charged with failure to maintain insurance, driving on a suspended license, aggravated DUI and failure to render aid.
Police say Ortiz lost control of his vehicle around 7 p.m. Monday downtown on I-65 northbound in hospital curve.
Found on Muhammad Ali Boulevard, Ortiz reportedly admitted to police he drank one beer. He was given a field sobriety test and a recorded breathalyzer test showed a blood-alcohol content of .105.
