LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - A fence cut to get access to a neighboring business, where more than $1650 worth of goods were stolen, has led to charges against three people.
Charles Moock, 45, of Louisville, gave a taped statement to police that he and another man cut a fence on Aug. 18 in order to steal a gas tank and wiring from five semi trucks from a lot on New Venture Drive.
Police say Moock told them they sold the items at a scrap yard and he took $20 for his share of the work. The damage to the fence is estimated at $600.
Moock is charged with criminal mischief and theft by unlawful taking. He was arrested Monday.
Two others are accused in the case, as well, Adam Ball and Kimberly Bryant, who police say sold the metal to the scrap yard for them.
