Former Valdosta State Blazer offensive lineman Edmund Kugbila's NFL dreams will have to wait at least another year.
The Carolina Panthers placed Kugbila on injured reserve Tuesday, ending his rookie season before it got started.
The Panthers drafted the former Blazer All-American in the fourth round of the 2013 NFL Draft, hoping he could work his way into the offensive line rotation.
But Kugbila has battled knee and hamstring injuries all offseason, and has missed most of training camp and preseason play.
Kugbila will now miss all of the 2013 season, with the hope of returning in 2014.
