Adam Ball, 27 Adam Ball, 27

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - A man charged with running from a fiery crash where the driver died now faces additional charges in a theft that happened before then.

Adam Ball, 27, is accused of cutting a fence on New Venture Drive to access a neighboring lot where a gas tank and wiring for semi trucks was stolen.

The items are valued at $1650 and the damage to the fence is estimated at $600. Charles Moock is also charged in the Aug. 18 theft.

Ball faces added charges of second-degree criminal mischief and theft by unlawful taking.

After the Aug. 25 crash on the Gene Snyder at the Bardstown Road exit, Ball was charged with alcohol intoxication, leaving the scene of an accident, giving a false name, third-degree terroristic threatening and failure to render aid.

He was wanted on a warrant prior to then. It wasn't immediately clear if that warrant was related to the theft case.
