Detour lifted after overturned semi is cleared from I-71

CAMPBELLSBURG, KY (WAVE) – The southbound lanes of Interstate 71 near Campbellsburg have reopened after a semi overturned.

According to Kentucky State Police Campbellsburg post, the accident happened around 11 a.m. and blocked both southbound lanes at mile marker 35.

KSP said the semi was the only vehicle involved. No injuries or hazmat issues were reported.

A wrecker was able to clear the semi from the roadway. KSp said I-71 south was reopened at 12:51 p.m.
