Kittens left in duct-taped boxes to die

TOLEDO, OH (Toledo News Now) -

A Toledo man was walking his dog Thursday morning when he found two boxes and a plastic container, all closed with duct tape. What was inside caught him by surprise.

George Marshall says he found the boxes in the street, and saw a kitten trying to get out of one. That's when he reacted.

Marshall was able to save six of the kittens, but a seventh died. He says whoever left them there had the intention to kill them all.

"These are innocent little cats," Marshall said. "We've been feeding them, you know, they're loving and just want attention."

The cats were later taken to the Humane Society.
