Power restored to most customers after weekend storms

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - Power was restored to all but a few dozen homes and businesses by Monday morning after weekend storms cut the electricity to more than 13,000 people.

The storms caused lightning strikes, fires and downed power lines.

The National Weather Service confirmed two microbursts -- one in Buckner, the other between Buckner and La Grange -- caused damage in Oldham County. They had wind speeds between 60 and 75 miles-per-hour.
