HURRICANE MILLS, TN (WSMV) -

The show must go on for Loretta Lynn.

Nursing a broken rib suffered on Friday trying to pull down a guitar from a shelf, Lynn performed on Saturday as part of concert series at her ranch.

A new portrait of Lynn, created by a No. 2 pencil by Corey Frizzell - yes, he's from the country-singing Frizzell family - captures a moment in this iconic woman's life.

"I've had good times and bad times," said Lynn, who is still writing songs and singing at age 81.

Merle Haggard had a concert at the ranch on Sunday, and Lynn will host a gospel music event later in September.

Also, later this fall, Lynn will receive the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the nation's highest civilian honor.
