Police: Man hid crack in crack

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - Police say they cracked a drug case after midnight Friday, thanks to a drug-sniffing dog.

Deshon Compton, 33, of Plantation Drive in Louisville, was pulled over at the intersection of St. Catherine and Floyd streets on a traffic violation.

A narcotics canine unit was then called in, according to an arrest report, which says the dog alerted on Compton's buttocks.

That's where police say they found a bag with what's suspected to be crack cocaine packaged for individual sale.

Detectives also confiscated $170 in varying currency, saying that such values are consistent with drug sales.

Compton is charged with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, tampering with physical evidence and failure to signal.
