Hair dryer fire causes $10K in damage to Springfield home

SPRINGFIELD, MA (WSHM) -

A unattended hair dryer is to blame for an early evening fire on Boyer Street in Springfield today.

Fire officials said the hair dryer was left running to heat up on a chair, and that's when it caught fire in a second-floor bedroom.

There is about $10,000 in damage. The four occupants decided to stay living in the home despite water and smoke damage.

    President Donald Trump is telling "Tonight Show" host Jimmy Fallon to "be a man" and stop "whimpering" about the personal anguish he felt over the backlash he received after messing up Trump's hair during a 2016 campaign appearance on Fallon's late-night talk show.
