NEW ALBANY, IN (WAVE) - Floyd County's mosquito abatement program will start Monday morning.
Following a human positive West Nile case and pool tests in the county, the city of New Albany will begin spraying to help eradicate mosquitoes that could be carrying the disease.
The areas within the abatement program will be bordered to the south by the Ohio River, west to Interstate 64, north to Interstate 265 and east to Silver Creek.
Other spot applications in the county will be conducted, as well. Treatment is expected to last until midnight on Monday.
