ABBEVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -
He only has one leg, but that doesn't stop Christopher Morton from playing sports with his friends.
Morton, who likes to go by Cam, was born with only one leg, but he said that doesn't stop him from loving sports like basketball, soccer and especially football.
"You got to protect the ball, like it's a baby," Cam told FOX Carolina when asked about the game.
His mom, Schantisha Morton, said that one day, when her son asked her to play, she contacted the Abbeville Youth Athletics league. Cam tried out and made the team as a nose guard.
"Cam is just in up spirit all the time, he goes hard 24/7," Coach Ellis Belton said.
Morton said when she was pregnant, the doctor said she had amniotic bands so Cam lost circulation in one of his legs.
If you meet Cam, you'll learn that what many would consider an obstacle really isn't one for him. He gets around on crutches during warm up and practice, but once he hits the field, he leaves them behind.
Friends and family say Cam is a perfect example of being able to tackle anything you put your mind to.
