Police catch wanted Stow sex assault suspect

BRIMFIELD, OH (WOIO) -

Brimfield Police arrested a man accused of sexually assaulting a woman at knife point on the morning of Sunday, September 15.

According to a release, a bank employee working inside the Brimfield Wal-mart notified authorities that Filip Konstantinovich was a known customer.

Officers from Brimfield and Tallmadge went to the Wal-mart location and spotted the suspect inside his car, speeding out of the parking lot.  

Police proceeded to chase the suspect's car onto Tallmadge Road and Mogadore Road, and the suspect crashed into a utility pole.  

Konstantinovich was not harmed.

Police arrested the suspect immediately and took him to Stow City Jail for processing.  

A video arraignment will be done at the Stow Municipal Court at 11:00 am on Monday September 16.

Police began searching for Konstantinovich on Friday September 13th after a woman reported he came into her apartment, held her at knifepoint, and then and sexually assaulted her.
