LAWRENCEBURG, KY (WAVE) - Police are looking for a murder suspect who may be headed to Louisville.
Originally, police were also looking for a missing woman after a man was found dead in his driveway in Anderson County. That woman, Luttrell's wife Leslie Luttrell, contacted Nelson County 911 around 11:30 a.m. Sunday telling them she escaped from her husband.
Police said 54-year-old Steven Briscoe was found murdered in his driveway Saturday morning on Fairview Road in Lawrenceburg.
Authorities are now looking for Gary Luttrell of Lexington. He may be driving a black Chevrolet Cavalier with a faded hood and the license plate 372-DAP.
"This is a current crime scene and we're just collecting whatever evidence is available to us to help through the process of prosecution and figure out who did this," said Trooper Hunter Martin.
Investigators believe the gunman stole the victim's car which they were able to track down, through GPS, to an abandoned shed just miles away from the murder scene.
If you have any information on Luttrell's whereabouts, call Kentucky State Police. He is considered to be armed and dangerous.
