Oyler School in Lower Price Hill was on lockdown Wednesday afternoon after shots were fired near the school.
Police say that 23-year-old Roy Lee was arrested after he attempted to shoot a man in the 2100 block of St. Michaels Street on Wednesday afternoon.
Court documents state that Lee had been recently released from jail prior to the incident. Documents state that Lee appeared in court Tuesday for an assault charge.
Police say that Oyler, a K-12 school located at 2121 Hatmaker Street, was put on lockdown for some time as a precaution.
A SWAT team searched the area for a suspect involved in the incident. Police say Lee was later taken into custody after a standoff with authorities.
Lee has been charged with felonious assault.
