LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - A Louisville woman was arrested for assaulting her friend, according to Louisville Metro Police.

On September 14, Sheree Wimberly, 44, was allegedly returning to a home where she once temporarily stayed to gather the rest of her belongings. The victim lives at the residence and the two women got into a verbal altercation outside the home.

During the fight, Wimberly apparently knocked over the victim's grill and kicked hot coals through the front door. Wimberly then hit the victim several times with the lid of the grill.

The victim sustained head injuries from the incident and was taken to Audubon Hospital for treatment.

Wimberly is being charged with second degree assault.
