JEFFERSONVILLE, IN (WAVE) - A Clark County sheriff candidate is suspending his campaign.

According to the ‘News and Tribune', Major Chuck Adams is no longer running for sheriff in the 2014 race. The donor, Larry Brooks, accuses Adams of offering him a no-show, $70,000 a year job, if he won.

Brooks recorded the conversation with Adams when they allegedly discussed the deal. Adams said in a statement to the ‘News and Tribune' that "this conversation was recorded without his knowledge more than a year and a half ago and no position was offered to Brooks."
