LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - Police pulled over a 14-year-old driver in downtown Louisville early Thursday morning and discovered that his passenger was an intoxicated adult, according to an arrest report.
Louisville Metro Police officers said Derral M. Wilder, 36, of Louisville, was a passenger in a stolen car in which the driver failed to use a turn signal around 1:45 a.m. Thursday. After they stopped the vehicle at Floyd and Liberty Streets, the officers said they discovered the driver was 14 years old and that he admitted there was marijuana inside the vehicle.
Police said Wilder was extremely intoxicated and that there were open containers of vodka and beer in the car.
Wilder is charged with receiving stolen property, unlawful transaction with a minor, and possession of an open alcoholic beverage container in a motor vehicle.
