LEAVENWORTH, IN (WAVE) – A jury has been for the first murder trial of a suspected serial killer accused of the murders of three women.
Because of pre-trial publicity, jury selection for the trial of William Clyde Gibson in the Christine Whitis was held in Dearborn County, Indiana, near Cincinnati.
The panel is made up of seven women, five men, and five alternates. The trial is scheduled to begin October 21 in New Albany.
Prosecutors say they plan to seek the death penalty against Gibson, who is also accused of killing Stephanie Kirk and Karen Hodella.
