CRESTWOOD, KY (WAVE) - Oldham County Schools are celebrating some very encouraging test results which place them as one of the top districts in the state.
"We're in the top 96 percentile of all the school districts in the state," said Dr. Will Wells, Oldham County Schools superintendent. "Fourteen of our 17 school are ranked proficient or distinguished, so we're very pleased."
Wells said the district's teachers worked hard all year in their classrooms and he said the principals at the Oldham County Schools are great instructional leaders.
Wells said he believes the K-PREP is a better test than the previous statewide test because the K-PREP gives school leaders a better idea at what areas they need to improve on.
