LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - The search has ended for a man wanted in a home invasion in the Portland neighborhood.

The attack took place after midnight Monday in the 1600 block of Northwestern Parkway.

[PREVIOUS STORY: Murder, robbery charges dropped against Louisville man]

A man and woman were robbed and shot in their home. Both are expected to survive their wounds.

Police have since arrested Carlos Lagantta, 34, of Louisville, on felony charges of assault, burglary and robbery.

He's accused of forcing one of the victims into a home, demanding cell phones and guns, before shooting them.

According to WAVE 3 News records, Lagantta was once charged in the 2007 murder of Tina Tatro.

Lagantta served time on lesser charges but was cleared of the killing in Aug. 2012, because his DNA did not match samples found under the victim's fingernails.
