Terry McMillan has touched millions of readers ever since her groundbreaking book Waiting to Exhale took the publishing world by storm over 20 years ago. Now, she returns with a new book offering an intimate look at the burdens and blessings of family. Set in a racially diverse area of contemporary Los Angeles, Who Asked You? touches upon real, hot button issues of today. Tackling questions about community responsibility, relationships, class, race, and homophobia, McMillan prompts us to explore our own preconceived ideas, biases and life choices.
