JEFFERSONVILLE, IN (WAVE) - A man accused of pointing a shotgun at the Clark County Courthouse remained in jail Wednesday on a $250,000 cash bond.
Henry Campbell, 63, of Sellersburg has been preliminarily charged with pointing a firearm, intimidation with a deadly weapon and criminal recklessness. Campbell appeared in court Wednesday morning for an advisement hearing of his rights and the allegations against him.
Judge Daniel Moore ordered Campbell to undergo a mental health evaluation and submit to a drug test.
Prosecutors alleged Campbell pointed a 12-gauge shotgun toward the Clark County Courthouse from the driver's seat of a truck around 2:30 p.m. Tuesday. According to a probable cause affidavit, officers also found several rounds of ammunition in Campbell's pockets.
WAVE 3 News Reporter Scott Adkins questioned Campbell's attorney and spoke with employees who described what happened when the courthouse was locked down. You'll hear from them tonight on WAVE 3 News beginning at 5.
