LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - An Indiana woman was arrested in Louisville after police said she was injecting heroin while her daughter was in the back seat.
On October 2, Kisha Wilkey, 24, was observed sitting in her green Ford for an extended period of time at 19th and Broadway. According to officers the spot in known to be a high drug trafficking area.
The police report states that officers witnessed Wilkey injecting heroin as they approached. When she saw officers, Wilkey allegedly tried to conceal a metal spoon and loaded syringe under her leg.
As she stepped out of the car, officers said she threw a baggie of suspected heroin down the sewer grate. An officer recovered the baggie and upon searching her car, found a Loritab and her 2-year-old daughter in the back seat.
Wilkey is being charged with possession of heroin, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and endangering the welfare of a minor.
