LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - A man accused of making sexual comments to preteen girls attending a cheerleader competition in downtown Louisville Friday had been a nuisance in the area for months, witnesses told Louisville Metro Police.
According to an arrest report, Brian L. Barnes, 43, of Louisville approached the girls around 8:00 Friday morning as they entered the Kentucky International Convention Center on South 4th Street, calling them sexually charged names and instructing them to perform sex acts on him. Officers located Barnes in the area of 3rd and Jefferson Streets and placed him under arrest.
Security officers with the convention center told police Barnes had been given several previous trespass warnings, but he always left the premises before police arrived. The security officers said Barnes recently became more verbally aggressive.
Barnes is charged with criminal trespassing and disorderly conduct.
