LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – A man's visit to a bingo hall ended with his arrest for trying to play the games with phony bills.
According to his arrest report, David L. Hayes, 38, of Louisville, was at a bingo hall in the 2500 block of Slevin when he tried to buy pull tabs with a $100 bill that appeared to be counterfeit.
When confronted by an off-duty police officer working security, Hayes ran from the officer. He was caught about a block away trying to climb a fence.
Hayes was arrested on charges of criminal possession of a forged instrument, fleeing or evading police, resisting arrest and criminal mischief.
