Jaylynn Maxey has been found by police. She was taken to the hospital for examination but is believed to be safe, according to the Louisville Metro Police Department.

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – The vehicle involved in an AMBER Alert issued for a 2-year-old girl who was last seen in Shepherdsville, Kentucky has been recovered by Louisville Metro police.

According to LMPD, the 2000 maroon Ford Taurus was located at Arthur and Lee Streets, near a Circle K gas station and Days Inn, around 9:20 p.m. Tuesday. Police said the car was stolen and has the New Jersey license plate VHM20Z.

Authorities are still searching for Joshua Yeager, 24, and his daughter Jaylynn Maxey, 2. Yeager and Maxey were last seen at 183 Adams Shepherds Parkway in Shepherdsville.

Officials said they believe Jaylynn is in danger.

Louisville Metro Police Department spokesperson Alicia Smiley said LMPD asked Kentucky State Police to issue the Amber Alert after Jaylynn was reported missing by her mother on October 5 near the area of Bardstown Road and Interstate 265.

Yeager is described as being 6'1'' tall and weighing 185 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes. He has a full sleeve tattoo on his right arm and a Chinese symbol tattooed on the left side of his neck. He was last seen wearing a green t-shirt and green plaid shorts.

The family made a poster they gave to police and on it they stated that Yeager abducted Jaylynn, her mother and Jaylynn's baby brother, but the mother and little boy were able to get away.  The poster also states that Yeager robbed a bank in Shepherdsville.

Shepherdsville police released surveillance photos on Monday after a bank robbery. They describe the robber as a white man wearing plaid shorts and a green shirt with a logo.

In the AMBER Alert, Kentucky State Police describe Yeager wearing the same thing. Despite the similarities, LMPD has not confirmed if the robbery suspect and AMBER Alert suspect are the same.

Jaylynn is described as being 3'2'' tall and weighing 37 pounds. She has curly hair and was last seen wearing a black and pink tank top with a swirled design, white sandals and a pull-up. Officials said she may also be wearing a yellow polka-dot top with white pants.

Law enforcement said Yeager is believed to be driving a 2000 maroon Ford Taurus, with a black and gray primer hood. The car has a New Jersey license plate VHM20Z.

Law enforcement officials said they are not sure which direction Yeager is traveling, but he might have family in Indiana.
