LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - As we stood in the Highlands looking to Pass the Cash we met Ruthie Mondale who not only had a man in mind, but a bill in hand that needed to be paid by someone very near and dear to her, Greg Conley.
"He has trouble with his utilities, rent. I guess he just doesn't make enough to cover all those things," said Mondale
Mondale knows how hard he works because she has mentored him since he was a young boy.
She has been there guiding and giving to Conley since she noticed his potential at the St. George Community Center. She even helped Conley get his first job and has scolded him if needed but most of all she always remembers to just be there when he needs her.
"I can call her for anything a ride, a bite, a meal. If I don't know the recipe to cook something she come through for me," said Conley. "We help each other in all kinds of ways but I didn't know I'd get this. I'm totally speechless."
