Coroner identifies east Louisville woman hit and killed by vehicle

The incident happened just after 9 p.m. Wednesday.

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - A woman hit by a vehicle and killed Wednesday night in east Louisville has been identified by the Jefferson County Coroner's Office.

Police said Adrienne Burgstalter, 34, was trying to cross Westport Road at Langdon Drive when she was hit by a jeep just after 9 p.m. Wednesday. She was pronounced dead at the scene. According to a deputy coroner, Burgstalter lived nearby.

No charges were expected to be filed against the driver. Police believe it was an accident.
