LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – The Louisville Free Public Library brings you this year's installment of Authors at the Library. This series is sure to be entertaining and thought-provoking.

Today, October 16, Frank X Walker, Kentucky Poet Laureate, will be the special guest author. Walker, will be sharing from several books including he's most recent book, Turn Me Loose: The Unghosting of Medgar Evers.  

Scott Turow is the author of 8 bestselling works of fiction including Presumed Innocent. His latest book, Identical, tells the story of identical twins and the relationships between their families. Turow will be at the Main Library on Wednesday, October 30, at 7pm.

On Wednesday, November 6 at 7pm, Allan Gurganus will be the guest author. Gurganus's first comic novel, Oldest Living Confederate Widow Tells All, leads to his latest book, Local Souls. These 2 novels bring the twisted hilarity of Flannery O'Connor kicking from the late 19th century into the 21st century.

All programs begin at 7pm at the Main Library, 301 York Street. The events are free but tickets are required, visit or call (502) 574-1644.
