2 dead, 2 in critical condition in NV school shooting

(RNN) - A shooting at a middle school in Sparks, NV, has left two people dead, including the shooter, and two others in critical condition, according to the Reno Gazette-Journal.

Police have not yet commented on if the those killed are students or teachers.

Angela Rambo, of the Renown Regional Medical Center, tells the Associated Press that two boys are in critical condition.

The police tell the Gazette-Journal that several people were shot. Shooting started as the start of the school day; a 911 call placed around 7:16 a.m.

Students were evacuated to a nearby Agnes Risley Elementary School where parents picked them up. School has been canceled for the rest of the day.

Sparks is located right next to Reno, NV, is 135 miles from Sacramento, CA and 448 miles from Las Vegas.
