LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE)
- Little-known facts were revealed as we took a look inside areas of a historic
hotel where cameras are not normally allowed.
Monday we toured the
basement of the Brown Hotel to see how the 700 room hotel was heated when it
opened in 1923.
We also went up on
the hotel's roof to see the view of downtown Louisville.
The Brown Hotel is celebrating
90 years of service and patrons can benefit from the celebration.
Brad Walker, the
General Manager of the Brown Hotel, said, "We're offering $19.23 room rates for
the first 10 guests that call us on Friday, that being the October 25 date. On
our Facebook page, we'll be announcing during the day what the time is."
The first 10 people who call right after that
time is posted on Facebook will receive the deal. To view the Brown's Facebook
page, click here.
In addition to
discounted rates, the Brown is celebrating with special menus and festivities.
