LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – An Airbus operated by UPS had made a return to Louisville after developing a problem with its hydraulics during flight.

The plane, UPS flight 2054, departed from Louisville around 4:55 p.m. Shortly after takeoff the flight crew reported to air traffic controllers they had a hydraulics issue.

The aircraft returned to Louisville International Airport where it landed safely at 5:43 p.m. on runway 35L. It was met by emergency vehicles on the runway.

Service crews towed the aircraft from the runway to the UPS ramp area where it will be checked by maintenance crews.
