LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - Some WAVE Country World War II vets will fly to Washington D.C. Thursday to visit their memorial.
More than 80 bluegrass veterans and their guardians will jet-set to our nation's capitol on an Honor Flight meant to commemorate their service. Once in Washington D.C., they will visit the National World War II memorial along with the Korean War Veteran's Memorial and the Iwo Jima Monument.
The day-long trip is completely free to the veterans with everything sponsored by the Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels.
