BULLITT COUNTY, KY (WAVE) - The uncle accused in the cold case murder of his
niece, Jessica Dishon, 17, plead not guilty Thursday.
Stanley Dishon's case was delayed when two circuit court judges disqualified
themselves from hearing the case.
The Commonwealth appointed Judge Charles Simms, family court judge who rules
in LaRue, Nelson and Hardin Counties to preside over the case.
A grand jury indicted Dishon for the murder after the Hardin County Sheriff said
new tips and evidence pointed them in his direction.
The prosecution has 60 days to file discovery in the case.
Jessica Dishon disappeared from the driveway of her home on the morning
of September 10, 1999. Her body was found 17 days later.
Dishon's pretrial hearing is scheduled for January 30, 2014.
