BARTHOLOMEW COUNTY, IN (WAVE) – Following a 22 month investigation, two were arrested after an audit revealed irregularities in the Office of the Clay Township Trustee.
Arrest warrants were issued for the arrest of the former Clay Township Trustee, Christa Acton, 42, and the former deputy trustee, Laurie Baker, 45.
Acton is facing nine felony counts including fraud and theft. Baker is facing 18 felony counts.
Both were arrested at their respective homes Sunday without incident.
