All month long, a Valley bridal shop wants you to donate your old wedding dress so that you can help make someone else's wedding dreams come true.
Strut Bridal Salon in Phoenix specializes in plus-sized wedding dresses. They are collecting these dresses to support Wish Upon a Wedding, a national non-profit organization dedicated to providing weddings and vow renewals for those facing serious illness.
The dresses will be collected and then resold through Brides for a Cause, an organization that collects and resells wedding dresses.
Your donations are tax deductible. They are accepting wedding gowns 2005 and newer in all sizes and styles. A suggested monetary donation of $20 is encouraged to help cover the cost of cleaning and reselling each wedding dress.
During the Dress Drive, Strut Bridal Salon will provide each bride with a 10 percent off gift certificate for a friend. Current brides-to-be are encouraged to get their friends to donate their wedding dress to receive 10 percent off purchase of a wedding dress at Strut Bridal Salon.
Wish Upon A Wedding is also searching for local wish recipients in the Phoenix area who are in need of a dream wedding. Couples who are faced with life-threatening illness are encouraged to apply for a wish by visiting their website.
Strut Bridal Salon is located at 542 W. McDowell Rd., Phoenix AZ 85003.
